A few weeks ago, I was invited to give a few talks in the UK entitled Self and Determination: An Inward Look at Collective Liberation. The discussions that resulted proved vibrant and challenging beyond anything I could’ve imagined, and I met and got to know some fantastic folks, in the process. The first of these was hosted on the roof garden of the London Action Resource Center, set to the soundtrack of a nearby blackbird and an eventual call to prayer from the East London Mosque.
